$300 for each violation subsequent violation within the same eighteen-month period

Local governments can also tack on a $25 late fee if the fine isn't paid on time.

The penalty is strictly monetary — no points on your license, no increased insurance payments.

That's different from a traditional ticket issued by a police officer for passing a school motorbus, which conduct heavier fines — upward to $400 and v points for a start offense and $1,000 for a third crime — and tin result in having your license temporarily revoked for repeated offenses.

What if I own the car but wasn't driving it?
